I wonder what machine precipitated the $150 allowance. Thank you for the bearing #, Ben. When that bearing started squeaking in my DI56, John had a great fix with no disassembly required: he had me holding the vacuum cleaner with crevice tool at the top of bearing while he drilled into the bearing housing. The vacuum sucked all of the metal filings out of the bearing and when the drilling was over the strong suction was applied to the hole he drilled. Then he dripped turbine oil in while I rotated the drum. I will use your part number to order a bearing for the dryer to have on hand should squeaks ever return. Thank you again.
If anyone here buys the dryer, be sure to ask us or search on the Imperial Forum for how to handle the rehabilitation of the rollers and their bearings under the drum opening.
