I just love this thing, and have already made 2 very successful batches with it.

Anybody in the group got one in another color - turquoise or yellow perhaps?

I'm pretty sure this is a 1964 model, but if anyone has the sears book from then or can help me determine it is from a different year, I'm open to that possibility too.

That was back when I was a child-Making ice cream was a family affair-Mom made up the batter from fresh picked peaches from her freinds-and Dad and us boys ran the ice cream machine-we would all wait around the machine-feeding its tub rock salt and ice-and waiting for the motor to stall--meaning the ice cream was READY!!The dasher was a large wooden and metal affiar-when the ice cream was done Mom would put the dasher on a large platter for us boys to lick-then the ice cream was served from the container and what we and the freinds didn't eat -the container then went to the freezer.Sadly the machine is long gone-don't remember what happened to it.Only I wish I had pictures of those days-was so neat! And that ice cream WAS SO GOOD!No store bought ice cream can match up to what you can make in one of those ice cream machines.
