Stunning!

It looks so shiny on the inside. It really does look like it's had little to no use.

When we lived in Jackson, MI years ago we had a neighbor that had one of these and I was always fascinated by how strong the springs were on that door. All the dishwashers we had to this point had always had a lock of some kind and this one was like an oven door with no latch. I used to take babysitting jobs over there just so I could check out the dishwasher. Sounds terrible to say that anywhere else but here. LOL

She wasn't the best homemaker and I remember how surprised she would be when she came in and the kitchen was all cleaned up.

Nick - beautiful condition….happy for you.

The simplest way to upload is drag the photos as a cluster or one by one and look to see in the "ADD Photos Here…" box that is provided, that each one is present. Just .jpg and .gif extension type images work(but you don't have to be concerned, as your others photos worked).

Phil

…and again, I'm liking your new addition!

Thanks all. I have no idea when ill get time to tinker with it. The nut is missing off the lower screen cover over the impeller. Any idea where I can get one?

So this is a first for me. I pulled the butcher block top off and the back so I could see everything. Looks great. I fasten the factory hoses back in the proper loacations with a zip tip and go find an old washer hook up hose. Use a waterbed fill attachment for the sink and hook it it. Plug it in to the wall turn the knob and push the button and it works. No leaks. Never would of though it would do that.

Anyone have a pic of what the I assume is a retaing nut that hold the lower screen to the threaded rod above the pump impellar. And id like to use it under counter was gonna take the wheels off and just add adjusting feet sound correct or is there a filler panel for the front?

I'm not at home so I can't take a picture of mine but I don't think there's a nut on mine either. I have to admit I never clean the filter in my dishwasher! On my 1962 Spray-Tube dishwasher there's a nut that holds the fine filter in place but the 1963 model got rid of that. I'll take pictures when I'm back home.

As for the lower front panel, they are different on Dishmobiles. Frigidaire used to sell a conversion kit to install them undercounter.

Just curious as the spring keeps the screen up a little bit with water in there maybe the suction pulls the upper screen down to seal? Not ever seen one before I just felt like it was missing the nut. I should have a service&#92operators manual come the weekend from Steve.

No nut

The screen "bobbles" on the spring. The suction pulls it down and pulls wash water through the screen when washing; when the machine stops to drain, the screen pops up and hypothetically shakes loose any food particles, which are then free to get sucked through the dish-shaped pump protector and sent down the drain.

That spring-bobble effect is what makes it a self-cleaning filter.
