Rex, you are correct with beaters and bowls not being interchangeable between the different mixer sizes. In my post I should have made clear I meant "attachments" rather than "accessories", like grain mills, pasta rolls, juicers, etc.

Secondly, I posted the oatmeal cake recipe, and I DO NOT put rasins in it. Rasins in oatmeal spice cake is a seriously unappealing idea, at least they are to me.

I hereby give full and absolute credit to your original recipe! I did mention though that the optional raisings were mentioned on a second recipe given by somebody else, which also included the topping, and I "combined" both recipes in one, LOL.

Haven't tried it out yet, but I am sure it is a delicious recipe!

My confession

I'm probably as liberal as one can be, but I've never cared much for pink - whether it be on the side of a house, an interior wall, or on an appliance. In fact it makes me a bit queasy. Sorry if this is sacriledge, but I can't help a visceral reaction.

But I think it's cool that buying a mixer could help find a cure for breast cancer.

On the plus side, I'd be happy to steer others towards any pink vintage appliances I might find along the way.
