This might appeal to those in the CT or NJ area but I happened today upon a pink GE filter flo, in need of some polish. I'm afraid the in-laws of the owner knew nothing of its history. If you forgive the surface dirt this may clean up nicely, I offer the family's cell if you have any interest as the estate sale runs thru Sunday. Located in Eastchester NY, about an hour from the NJ or CT borders. Also avail. a Hamilton Holiday dryer, and several 1950s cabinet TVs and Caloric double wide stove. Call Susan at 917-328-2527.

...and guess who just bought it!

Mike, a big thank you although I won't count this chicken until it's home.

A BBBBB BOL in fact from 1961 and sold in pink?!?!? I knew this was possible from GE parts lists that I was given years ago but to get one in the flesh. Whatever this is it's a non-catalog model, special store model and if it's really pink well...

I was gonna say, this is very close if not exact to my Mother's 1963 V12....

one speed, two water levels, two wash temps, all warm rinses, ONE cycle...

this model looks to have three water levels....which really did not matter, SMALL was only three inches below the HIGH level.....but one thing for sure, you were not watching with the lid open during lower levels...

man, how I hated that machine, it would never die!....and my luck, I was able to do wash while visiting my cousin, and she had the same exact machine....it was a conspiracy....lol

Pink GE Filter-Flow Washer

Cool find Ken, this basic model might have been one that a builder used in a new home, Color was always a no charge option to builders and in SOME cases the builders were actually charged LESS for appliances in color because the appliance manufacturers knew that they would sell even more appliances when one appliance had to be replaced and the replacements could not easily match the other older units.

Am leaving in a few minutes to fetch it and am still praying that

a. It wasn't sold out from under me to some stitch who came to the estate sale yesterday

b. It's really pink and that's not just a photographic misrepresentation

c. The 1961 blue filter pan that should be on top of that activator is somewhere nearby and in one piece.

Mike says there's a mini-basket down there as well but this model wouldn't have a mini-basket so ????

There's also a Hamilton Sun-E-Day gas dryer for sale; we'll see...Does that mean it has one of those ozone light bulbs inside it? Are those things still available? More later...

Somebody actually posted an ad for this model many years ago in an old Florida newspaper...you people are amazing!
