TLC and bleach and something germicidal....

BUT that looks like the FIRST Waste-King dishwasher ca 1958....  I have a 61 still very patiently waiting for me in Ohio that I have to get my act together to go and pick up....

Great brands that have bit the dust

I continue to mourn the loss(sale, dumbing-down of) of those once innovative Thermador appliances. It's still a high-end brand but a shadow of its former self. I would love to be able to purchase from the great variety of electric cooking products that were used extensively in St. Charles Kitchens of the 60's and 70's.

Has anyone on this site provided a history of Gaffers and Sattler? I'm not familiar with their stuff because it looks like they were a West Coast brand. I've never seen one of their appliances in person.

I would include Waste King in this group but IMO their early dishwashers let a lot to be desired.
