Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

Sorry I didn't make it today guys. I've been sick with the flu all week and still not up to par. I was wiped out and didn't think I could do the 90 minute drive, and I didn't want to get anyone else sick

now the machines..

Since there is no vintage washer yet...there was dryer action!...

First up...the Westinghouse dryer...the motor is out getting rebuilt, though it did get a thorough inspection by the group![this post was last edited: 7/1/2012-18:13]

Awesome Collection and Home

Nice collection and I really like your home, great job on MCM authentic decor !!! One question, were the exterior bricks always yellow or did you have them painted or stained ?

Back home!

I'd like to thank our most gracious hosts, Jerry and Tom for such a memorable time! It was so nice to meet you both, along with other members of the A.W. family! I'll be posting pictures very soon!

Thanks Guys

Just got back to North Carolina. There was a tense moment in West Viriginia (that didn't involve dueling banjoes...) Apparently the storm that came through on Firday knocked out power everywhere. For about 50 miles around the New River Gorge Bridge (just north of Beckley) every gas station that had power had a line of cars about 100 deep (I am not exaggerating). Fortunately I had enough fumes to get me to Virginia.

I had a great time meeting everyone. Definitely makes me think that I am going to have to host one sometime. Maybe I can get some help getting all of machines up and running.

Thanks again to the hosts - I can't tell you how much I appreciate the opportunity to meet others in the group.

Never trust the phrase "...and it works just fine"

I am definitely not complaining about the machine - I still can't beleive I got it and they didn't want a penny for it. Here are some pics of the Lady Kenmore I picked up enroute to the wash-in. Since they said it worked, I went ahead and hooked it up in my kitchen. Well, the pump turns on, and the lights work, etc. but it put a ton of water on the floor. I took a quick look - I think it is the hose to the roto-rack spray. Yet another machine on my "to do" list.
