Some of you may remember I was trying to resurrect a KDSS-21 dishwasher. Well, I finally got a hold of it, found a new dual wattage heating element and new tri-thermo module for the tank sump. Put them all in today, was going fine, until unit displayed 8 and PF. Shortly thereafter, I smelled burning electronics. Shoot! Took apart the upper cover, and the small black wire that goes to the door interlock switch on the upper right side of the door had been pinched against the control, thus shorting out to the frame. Well, the little trasformer on the board was hot to the touch from having to supply all that current. Needless to say, the control panel now just shows LED lights and the piezo buzzer constantly whines.
I am begging if anyone has one of these boards, just tell me how much. Or if anyone can tell me what the secondary voltage of the step down transformer is, before it is rectified, it might just be the transformer.
