I have made quite a bit of changes to the site recently trying to get it more updated for the coming decade of smaller devices. Unfortunately there were too many bugs to deal with this weekend. Fred and I are away from home and we have too many family obligations to spend much time at the computer this weekend to try and fix these bugs now.

I have attempted to reset all of the code back to the way it was before I started making changes. This will just be temporary, when I'm home next week and things are more settled I can start from scratch and slowly put in the new look. When the new look is done and not causing any issues what so ever I can then work on the editing bar.

In 10 years of running this site I have never had as many bug issues as in the last week, so clearly I need to start from scratch when I'm not 2000 miles from home.

Please accept my apologies everyone, I shouldn't have done this work so close to a vacation.

Don't worry, our new mascot will return! I am going to attempt to leave the new home page intact as I do not believe it was the cause of the bugs.

Robert, as far as I am concerned, there is no need to apologize. You've made some mazing and very fun enhancements and sometimes bugs just creep up that you just have no idea where they come from. I for one am thrilled with ever little bit, whether it be an advance or a retreat to regroup. And please enjoy your vacation!!

Robert....

I say 'enjoy the holiday and stuff the bugs' for the time being....

Regardless of what may be happening online, you both deserve a break just as the rest of us do from time to time....

...I'm sure they'll all be here waiting for you when you return!

No need to apologize whatsoever! The changes you continuously make to the site must range from relatively easy to highly complex - the fact that the site keeps running despite any glitches says it all. Your hard work and dedication are very much appreciated! And for heaven's sake - enjoy your vacation!!

The messaging system seems to be hosed

Huh???? 14 New Threads and 306 replies yesterday alone, all is just fine.

Peter I would appreciate a more detailed description of a problem, if there truly is a problem. Two days ago I set the system back to a previous working version and all seems just fine.

Back to vacation.

Now, Robert...

Who said anything about threads and replies? I think another week of sun and sand is in order!

Let's see if this works... Nope. How do you do put a screen print into a post?

In the navigation bar, there is an icon there for "MSG" to the right of "My Posts". Mine shows "1". Click on it and on the message screen inbox, the links to the messages all have the date and time instead of the subject. To the right, the sender is messed up. Click on one of the now date/time link, and get the message that this email is unavailable. The sent box is the same way.
