Over the last 10 years i have had 3 washers .A Hoover /a Hotpoint and a candy /all three have been bad performers and have not lasted long .It seem to me the modern washer is overloaded with useless gadgets and pointless programmes .I don't want to be able to switch the dam thing on from outer Mongolia or programme it to do some washing sometime next year I just want it to do what its name suggests [WASH CLOTHES WELL] As someone who has been in the repair business since the twin tub was king in the uk I am dismayed at how the quality of modern domestic apps [and that includes all appliances] has deteriorated to the point that most of them are junk .I am encouraged though to find one machine that is being built in the UK [EBAC] has anyone got one of these machines and are they any good .I have looked at the more expensive so called better built machines but they are no better than the cheap ones they just cost more .for example a Bosch machine made in china with its motor made in Slovakia talk about adding insult to injury .Sorry for the rant guys
