WOW! 50 gallons of water to do a double load of wash in a frontloader! The few times I used these for our throw rugs back in the 70s, I thought they did a great job of washing and rinsing. What is the water usage of modern double load washers?
I think the "20" in the model number plus the great weight on the woman's hip forcing her into an unnatural position on those stacked heels would indicate a 20# dry weight capacity.
Most new front-loaders, with tubs of 4 to 5 cu. ft. can hold 18-20 pounds of clothes---theoretically, at least. In their normal cycles (one wash, suds kill spray, two rinses) they use 16-20 gallons of water (depending on make/model) from what I've read.
