Thanks to Robert for having so much of the most detailed information on appliances! especialy washers and dryers! As I said on the 1-18s spin speeds available,It's been quite a while, 30 years, since the end of one of the most exciting eras in laundry history. The up and down agitation of the FRIGIDAIRE washers.I was sure of them having the best and fastest spin speeds better known as Rapidry but forgot the exact RPM on the 1-18s.I remembered they'd decreased the RPMs on their 1-18s from the solid tub JetActions but thought it wasn't below 700. I was wrong.Oh well,no harm done I guess. The older Norge line during that period went extreamly fast too.

Spins.

How do different Frigidaires compare for extraction? We all know about the varying (all fast) spin RPMs, but how do G-forces and spin time affect the outcome? Is a 1-18 tub wider than a Unimatic, Pulasmatic, Multimatic, or a Rollermatic? Does it spin any longer?

I gotta get one eventually!
Dave

I hate to admit it, but I have never actually seen a GMFR washer in person.

If you see one of these once...

it'll be easier to grasp lebron's response. Indeed, it's always best the first time!
