It looks like it has a console light to me if I look at it closely, I even had to enlarge the screen to see it but I believe it would be hard to see because of the angle the picture was taken…

I believe this one could be from 1967, 1968 or 1969.  GE advertised the V-14 models in 1965 and 1966.  They advertised V-16 in 1967 and 1968, but in the literature that I have they didn't use numbers in 1969, they claimed 'Huge Capacity" models.  In 1970 they introduced the 18-pound models.  I don't know if they used the "16" badge on the consoles in 1969 or not.

 

Correction to my above post - the models with fluorescent lamps was NOT limited to Americana models.  In fact, the 1968 catalog shows quite a few washers with the light.  But they all used the taller console with the added hood for the lamp.
