POD: 12/14/18

I would love to have the pair in today's POD. Would be a dream come true. I have always loved that 3 cycle, 3 water temp, 3 water level & 3 straight vane agitator! I printed this add the last time it ran and have it on my desk in my office at work.

The washer: I wonder if that is a TRUE Two Speed, as in it is a GENTLE/SLOW for Delicates (not just operating intermittently!)...

 

The dryer: Why were't more features shared with us, as in like the washer more shown? In particular, it would be if it is a Timed Only, or if anything like Automatic Drying offered on the main dial, (there does't seem to be anything Low for Delicates, from what I see)  is what I'm curious about...

Dave, this is s 24" (assuming the picture isn't squished) belt-drive machine.  It is 2-speed.  Belt-drive never used intermittent agitation in lieu of a slow speed.

Definitely a 2-speed, belt-drive. I have a similar set version in “Lady Kenmore” with the exclusive dual-action agitator. Always liked the “spin only” feature which was the slow speed without any spray rinses. One would think it should be on high speed, but there is no option for a final spin at normal speed without the spray rinses unless you manually advance the dial...

The marked settings are for user convenience. There's no harm to the machine in setting the timer at an increment into the final spin on Normal / Cotton-Sturdy to get a high-speed spin.

These were pretty good machines. They were somewhat smaller in capacity than the 29" models though, but they had two true speeds and washed quite well.
