The DI58 dryer. Wrinkles Away feature, does anyone know if this applied only to Filtrator models or also the Flowing Heat models I've always found the copy of this ad to be a bit confusing and inconsistent when looking at all the features/claims. Example, all the featurse listed--Filtrator and Nylon Mesh filter lol. That is obviously the two different drying systems. BTW, I though the temperature selector on Robert's dryer was infinite, not just the 3 temps listed in the copy.

Both the TOL DCI58 and the DI58 offered the wash'n wear dewrinkling, but did it differently. First of all, the last 10 minutes of the dry cycle were the cooldown in both machines. The vented DI58 went through the cycle with no modifications on the user's part. The instructions for drying Wash 'n Wear fabrics in the Filtrator were to first clean the Filtrator Cartridge. When replacing the Filtrator Cartridge, the user was to only insert it up to a line on the top which left it about 3/4s or more inserted. The proper heat setting was selected and the pointer turned to a small silver dot on the timer that was at about the 35 minute area. Since most synthetic fabrics don't give off that much lint while drying, having the Filtrator part way out did not let a lot of lint escape into the room. The added air circulation caused by the partial opening at the rear helped to speed the drying at lower drum temperatures and helped the fan cool off the interior of the dryer during the last 10 minutes so that when the cycle ended, the fabrics were not hot and were not left in a hot drum.

They showed an Imperial pair in the ad so that they would not have to, by law, show the Filtrator Cartridge hanging out of the front of the DCI58 dryer when the picture shows wrinkle free garments being taken out of the dryer.

tom, thank you for all of that information. Would never in my wildest imagination think the Filtrator cartridge would be hanging out even one iota during a dry cycle. But I had owndered for a while about "cool down" given I know how "warm" a load still is in a Filtrator. Very fascinating.
