Interesting part of this ad invites customers to check out the machine at their Blackstone Dealer who can be found in the "Classified Telephone Directory." I guess that this was before the directory was called the Yellow Pages. The phone company made a lot of money selling display ads in the Yellow Pages and now the Yellow Pages are gone as are most agitator-design automatics and phone companies are more interested in selling expanded cable services than land line phone service. We are living in those old newsreels called The March of Time as it marches all around us, faster and faster.

I'm pretty sure that I have a copy of that ad, featuring the Blackstone model 150. The 150 was even heavier than the 250/350, if you can believe that. There is a 150 in the possession of a member here.
