The non-clogging pump on today's POD was used on a Philco Automatic, according to the ad. We have a Speed Queen wringer that uses the same pump. Naturally, when we got it, it was clogged! It comes apart easily for cleaning. Was there a connection between Philco and Speed Queen, or was the pump sourced from a common manufacturer?

I know what you mean. I have a pretty rare Dexter version of a Philco of this vintage, that has some very Beam-ish and SQ-ish features, however as far as I know none of them shared their parts.

Steve, today's POD made me think of that very washer you have!!!

the pump pictured,with it's 2-blade rubber impeller,is very
close to the pump used on the fluid drive SQ automatics up
through about 1980.
