First it mentions how the perforations in the Spiral Dasher allow water to pass through thus drawing fabrics into it. I remember how the water movement in the Bendix Economat with basically a perforated Maytag Gyrator was so much more vigorous than in a Maytag automatic, partly because of the wider flexible tub and possibly partly because of the perforated agitator.

The second thing I noticed was the address which reads:

APEX Electrical Manufacturing Division

White Sewing Machine Corporation

This was the beginning of White Consolidated Industries.

What a wild agitator design. This similar example is from an Apex wringer washer (courtesy of AW member diswashercrazy). The terraced base gives it the appearance of being some sort of award trophy, LOL.

"This was the beginning of White Consolidated Industries."

A kick in the nuts if there ever was one, Tom.

I remember the Frigidaire factory rep mentioning that GM was thinking about selling the division to "a sewing machine company" long before it actually happened. None of the service guys believed it and why should they? Many of them had been repairing major appliances before going into the Service in WWII.
