I wonder how accurate it is, that ALL detergent was packed in new automatic washers? I always thought that TIDE had that all sewed up. It certainly would be cool to see a room full of brand new vintage washers like these.

Wonder who here can display that many washers here like that? (There's another ad, too--w/ nearly every brand advertising a detergent that comes with...)

That sounds like a fun idea for a 'challenge' thread - restaging an ad like in today's POD.  I only have the Westy and the Norge in that picture, alas....

For the record...

While there's too little to identify from the machines pictured in the upper left, right; and lower left corners, I see Thor, GE, Whirlpool, Westinghouse, Bendix, Norge, Apex and Hotpoint in there.

It'd make more sense for ALL to be gifted with eh Bendix and Westinghouse washing machines; being front-loaders, they were more vulnerable to oversudsing.
