The washer that's featured in today's POD is a 1971 Sears Kenmore Model 800.
A "VERY" popular model in its era. It was the model who wanted most of the cycles and capabilities of the Lady Kenmore at a lower cost (ableit without the three-speed motor, push-buttons and the vinyl woodgrain flip down cover).
A "VERY" nice model in the entire lineup in 1971 (was originally introduced in 1969)

You're right on Charles. this was the washer we got in Feb., 1970. It had all the featurs from the Lady K that were the most desired, yet still allowed complete flexibility. I didn't want another all push-button washer, after the 1964 Norge DispensoMat, and this was the washer my mom wanted.
