A word of explanation. Where it shows that a load from "some automatics" weighs 18 pounds after washing and spinning, that is for the Bendix bolt down, the earliest automatic washer, because it was shown by CU to leave more water in a load than a wringer. That can be seen in the next graphic which shows that a load weighed 17 pounds after washing and wringing in a conventional washer. While the Frididaire extracted very well, most automatics extracted far better than the 18 pound weight shown for the Bendix.
