Plenty cool washer! ABC washers were really the one's who invented this type of wash system. Through the 50's they had some really neat looking machines that were stylish. Some had a pale yellow tub and lid on the inside that really stood out. This was right at the end of ABC production, in fact I think that Kelvinator probably owned them by this time and were still manufacturing ABC and Kelvinator at the same time. This line of machines were my favorite of all time. Outside of Apex, which I never owned, they are the most entertaining while still doing a very good job of washing, rinsing and spinning the clothes. They were good about not linting when loaded properly, since they did not beat the clothes while washing them. They are one of the unusual lines that was bought and absorbed by WCI in the 60's. I like the analog clock-driven delayed start feature. Seems they basically took the delayed/timed bake feature from ranges and applied it to a washing machine. Decades later the delayed start feature was advertised as an energy-cost saver. It allowed one to run the machine during the night when electric rates were lower.
