Has anyone ever seen one of these in person? Whirlpool was only sold in Davison's in the Atlanta area and in independent furniture and appliance stores so I did not see a lot of the line in person except on rare trips to the downtown Davison's or the one at Lenox and at 12, I did not have a lot of independence in stores. I will admit that I was not really interested in the WP laundry line except for the combos, but I do not remember seeing this machine.

Yes, I've seen that model. One of the few types of Whirlpools they really didn't like to see on the used sales floor. All the trade-in stuff, both laundry and refrigeration, had to be guaranteed. If that complex timer went out it was expensive to replace. For the same reason, a similar Lady Kenmore was a no-go. Even though manufactured by Whirlpool, the timer had to be purchased through Sears. I saw so many very nice LK's scraped because of that. It was sad.
