Now that is the Blackstone washer to find, it has everything you need for doing all sorts of wash. Totally top of the line washing, everything is adjustable for washing all fabrics. That would be my vintage washer to buy!

Rare Indeed

This is a model from the early 1960s. I'd have to check my literature for exact model number and date. If I remember correctly, these models had a square outer tub.

I will definitely scan in whatever I have on these Blackstones.

Did anybody else...

Notice on the upclose picture of the speed selections, it has a possible error?
Each selection has a WASH & SPIN speed. But the selection in the lower right hand corner looks like it has 2 WASH selections?
:o/

Just something my eyes picked up on. And wondering if anybody else noticed that too
:o)

I took a look after you pointed this out Christina,, and actually there are three cycles, Normal, which is the only one you can make custom wash and spin speed choices, Delicate, that only fills 3/4 full and preselects the wash and spin speed as well as the wash and rinse temps, and Wash and Wear, which preselects the appropriate wash and spin speeds. So the Normal cycle is the only one that can be customized by the user. Really a very user friendly and flexible washer.

Hi Eddie...

I'm talking about the SPEED knob selections. There are 4 speed settings.
I'm not talking about the TIMER/CYCLE knob settings.

Do you see what I'm talking about?

Hi Christina,

Now I see what you were talking about! That is curious, isn’t it? I don’t understand why the lower right selection on the speed switch would have two wash speeds? Maybe one of the Blackstone experts will have an explanation.

BTW, I’m very sad about Arizona and the USA’s loss of your Senator, John McCain. He was one of a kind.

What's cool about this washer is the Cold Wash/Warm Rinse right in the water temperature settings... You used to only be able to achieve in the few machines that had separate wash/rinse temp. settings...

Blackstone model WAC-75 (and WAC-75S with stainless top)

4-page sell sheet:

I'm sure that the labels on the control panel was a typographical error; should be Slow Wash/Slow Spin, making 4 combinations. This is described in the text on page 2. {Having been in the typesetting business for over 30 years, I appreciate good proofreading!}

Well, technically, the 250/350 models had the ability to do Cold Wash/Warm Rinse. They had infinite temperature control. The user would have to change the temperature control after filling and before rinsing.

The printing date is 1959. I could check further to see when we actually sold this model. Fun project for a holiday.

Hi Eddie...

Yeah, John McCain seemed like one of the good guys. I seen his story on one of the episodes of that show LOCKED UP ABROAD. He was a P.O.W. of the Vietnam War.

I was saddened to hear about his passing. And it happened so quickly too! It was reported that he decided not to have anymore treatments and then the next day, he passed away.
