A sad time for Frigidaire washers and dryers. The washers were a somewhat cheapened version of WhiteWestinghouse machines that wash adequately, but spun below par. The dryers were the poorest made machines I have EVER seen before or since and had horrible service records.

I had that set lamped for 1979... Puzzling how the washer (temporarily) had borrowed the (White) Westinghouse lint trap...

As much as I have a soft spot for indexing tubs, this was certainly the appliance equivalent of "the day the music died."
