Checked rating of Easy Automatic Washer in 1964 Annual Buying Guide for Consumer Reports and they did not have much good to say about the Easy Automatic Washer. I will check with John and Jeff about servicing reputation.
Is it me, or did the POD of the Easy washer Pictured on 10/2, The control panel, resemble the Monkey Wards/ Norge version of the 20 Pounder in the 70's? Including the Timer knob.

I should have mentioned, because it will be of great interest to many here, that when Easy talked about no belts, they were alluding to something they came up with that was not seen until Whirlpool's Direct Drive mechanism where the pump and transmission were mounted on the motor.
Unfortunately the Velvapower had a terribly designed clutch for transmitting power to the spin shaft. It simply used a drive spring that was loosened when the motor turned counterclockwise for spin. This transmitted the motor torque in a very similar fashion that you see with "indexing" washer tubs. The result was it took nearly two full minutes for the tub to come up to full speed spin and with the final spin being only four minutes on all models that made for some really poor water extraction even at a 650rpm spin.
