OK, so I've seen this ad cycle through POD several times and I've always wanted to ask a question: When they brag about how clear the water is after the 2nd rinse, do they mean a 2nd deep rinse? Not many machines had an extra (2nd) rinse option back in the day. If you ran a complete cycle, then reset for an additional deep rinse, I should HOPE the water would be clear!

Or am I misunderstanding something?

Actually many top of the line washers offered a second or extra rinse as an option. The earliest I recall was the 1961 Philco Miss America which offered Extra Rinse as one of their pushbutton options. Besides, this commercial or advertisement was from the later 1960's and by that time, extra rinses were not uncommon offerings.

I guess my point was this: I can see bragging about the 1st rinse water being clear, but by the 2nd deep rinse, after using another 20+ gallons of water, by god it BETTER be clear, especially given that Dash was very low-sudsing to begin with.

Couple possibilities....

Maybe they meant at the end of the deep rinse, the first rinse being the spray rinse?

The machine in the picture is clearly a Philco.

I wish Dash as Dash was available today. I'd use it.

I'm surprised that no one has commented on "Agnes's" modified beehive, and that "Gloria's" hair wouldn't look out of place today.
