This Wizard Citation washer and dryer was probably around the mid 60's. I did have this very model at one time. They were pretty good washers. They held a fairly big load for a solid tub machine and had a metered fill somewhat like the GE solid tub machines. The spin was a little below average. It was a Franklin built model and indexed quite a bit while washing. It also promoted quite a bit of linting due to the aggressive way it washed. The matching dryers were slow at drying. The best dryers at the time were Whirlpool built ones.

In the lower right hand corner of the ad, they offer a gift of dishes with a dishwasher purchase. I was thinking it would be amusing if they blew it, and accidentally gave away dish sets that were not dishwasher safe. LOL

Dad's uncle had a BOL model, it came along with his wife when they married sometime in the 1970s (he previously had a much nicer Whirlpool).  Her brother worked for the Western Auto store in the town where they lived.  Same console design but only a timer and IIRC a "water saver" button.  It did have the filter sleeve that fit over the agitator and also functioned as a softener dispenser.  Didn't have a porcelain top/lid and there was rusting.
