So, is it only the gas model w/ the hair dryer attatchment that's capable of drying so well?

Is the H/D gadget also available in electric machines, too? Like the first use of the drying rack, too! That's a neat idea that caught on by other makes (Although long ago a Sears ad on TV made my sister think a pair of shoes on that dryer rack were going in an OVEN!!!! (Ha, ha!)

(The rack could also be used for drying a wet newspaper & even thawing a turkey! According to the App. book that I have w/ the author citing "exotic" uses before the rack gets stuck away in a closet & the dryer devotes itself to much more mundane uses--much like my parents' Maytag, of which I had to run off to the dealer they bought it at (THE MAYTAG STORE) in Allen Park when the rack (which had to be ORDERED!) came in! --Whew...!)

NORGE HAIR DRYING ATTACHMENT

Yes it worked on either the gas or electric models, and if you were drying a load of new towels at the same time you were drying your new hair-do it would have a lovely flocked appearence from all the lint in your hair. But really can you imagine that if you were using the gas dryer to dry hair and smoking at the same time you might pass out from a lack of oxygen LOL.

Handy hair dryers...

My grandmother had a Filter Queen from the 1950's and it had a hair dryer attachment that hooked up to the exhaust. She never used it, but I still always thought it was gross!

We had a siemans vaccuum that came with a hair dryer and a paint spraying gun it was a good machine but very heavy and cumbersome never used the dryer part even though it had a screen to stop any fluff I think it was a sales gimmick..
