Cool washer, the best of both worlds..."potato-pulley" design in a slant front! I have the Repair-Master for these machines...now if I could only find one!!!

I wonder how they did the "change-spitting-out-of-the-tub"? Either A: the lady is flinging the money into the washer, or B: the change is super-imposed (of course Photoshop wasn't around back then...LOL).

Was this the last year for the slant design?

Hi Alr. I believe the 63's were the last slant-front westies-I remember looking at a Good-housekeeping magazine from the fall of 63 and believe I saw in there the next design of Westies with the side-opening door and windowless dryer. No slant, but just a straight front. This design was modified in the late 60's when door was returned to opening downward on the washer. A neighbor of ours had the side-swing door westy stacked with a dryer on top in turquoise-a 65 model I believe. The 64 models held a lot of changes in appliances, apparently.

Was this the big door, same size at the dryer door with the window. I think alot of things changed, after 1963, both in appliances and the world. Thanks for your reply alr2903

Yes, alr, it was the big door in these machines, with the pointy door pull on washer and dryer. And the pointy control knobs and dials as well.
