What a tough time for this to happen. They probably knew it was coming, but it's never easy.
At least he spent some time with her, last weekend.
She didn't quite live to see her grandson get elected president (if all goes the way it should) but she was maybe confident enough about the outcome tomorrow that she felt OK about leaving. Talk about a roller coaster of emotion for Mr. Obama. I suspect he'll work through it with the class and eloquence we've come to expect from him. As if he needed any more character building exercises. And I would hardly consider him a weakling if he shed a few tears while delivering his victory speech

WOW is B.O. (*LOL*) gonna have some wild mood swings in the next week..............
Perhaps this will be a lesson to him (either as President or as a State Senator) that losinng someone is tough and awful. Losing them to preventable and unnecessary war is disguisting.
If the gov't. needs to spend on war to stimulate the economy.......
I still say train the soldiers to install solar photo-voltiac roof collectors and have Uncle Sam pay for these installs on every roof.

What a great idea for homecoming vets, Solar would be great. Can we have some windmills too? I like to watchem SPIN... While we are at it, lets clean all those lifers out of the prisons, how about letting Them serve some time, properly supervised, in the Middle East. alr2903

What a great idea!
Let all the imprisoned (who have been PROVEN by DNA to commit a violent crime) be sent to the Middle-East. Give them all guns and let them shoot each-other.
First one that throws shade /attitue or opens up his mouth with "back-talk" (how I HATE that word!) is eleiglible to get a bullet in the back.
I wouldn't mind leaving a few behind either in exchange for our "good" soliders. MIA/POW exchange.
And if anyone thinks I am being harsh, in the War in Cyprus in 1975 Bewtwwen the Turks and the Greeks (The island has both residents) Turkey promptly moved all of its prisoners to that island instead of their mainland. When they get releaed from prison they are left on the island. The turks don't want or need the island, but they don't want anyone else to have it either.
Every country in the world flushes its toilet and sends their S**T here. Why dont we flush our and leave it there?

Madelyn Dunham, Obama's grandmother, did vote via absentee ballot. Her vote will count just like everyone else's. I think she was able to go in peace, knowing that she did her part to help him.
