Kudo's for originality, but I'm wondering if that much red combined with the counter top wouldn't affect someone's home environment. They say loud red colors can promote fighting and a general sense of hostility.

I agree. The cafeteria at USL where I went to school in Lafayette had red neon lighting. I always said that was the most unappealing color to have associated with food and have always avoided it as a color in a dining room or kitchen.
