This has been discussed before, I imagine and if so, please direct me to the thread number.
I have been a potter for most of my life so I understand something about porcelain, refractory glazes and firing a kiln, but little about porcelain enameled metal and how it works. Are there people out there or services who will repair porcelain enamel with real porcelain enamel rather than a paint? If yes, can any of you direct me to them?

IIRC, porcelain enamel is fused to metal, steel, or cast iron at very high temperatures. While there are methods to repair using various paints, do not think it would be possible to simply "fuse" one small area, as the entire thing would have to be "rebaked".
