This is a WP built DW from the 70s, probably the best DW to ever wear the Tappan name.

Not far away. This is defnitely got to be a mid-1960s Tappan dishwasher. That's what it looks like to me. If it isn't, I'm deceived with the coppertone panel. I wonder if this is one with that rolling tube in the bottom that splashed up the water over the dishes and reverssed and drenched the otheer side.

John, I have to admit, that door opening design did remind me of WP at that time. Hmm
Didn't know WP made anything for Tappan.

Is that lower panel a vent, or are those just ripples on it or something?
Tappan DW
The lower panel is not attached properly at the top in the picture, and like many economy model machines it used a lower panel that was the same color no matter what color main panel you selected. This one is made of aluminum and had ribs pressed into it, WP used the same panel on their economy models.
