I am looking for a bearing for a post war Bendix washer. The bearing in the unit is ND 77505C25. The specs on this bearing are: ID Bore-25.31mm X OD 51.18mm x 15mm Thick. This bearing was a military grade bearing whuch was also Hyatt Bearing and later bought by GM. The part number Bendix used was 97062 in the tub group. Also I am looking for the seal used in this same group which is part number 97325. Any leads on these parts or the where abouts to purchase these parts please call David Gray at Appliance Archaeologly LLC at 608-371-3619. Someone advised me to ask jetcone or Combo52 which I dont know how to contact them. If you know how to reach them have them look at this post and reach out to me please.I found some on ebay and ordered them and got them today was the right part number but the bearings where the size of 1/2 dollar coin with a bore of 1/2" so I am sending them back.
So the bearing listed on ebay is not correct! Thanks[this post was last edited: 3/31/2020-19:36]

Bearing and seal local purchase

Your bearing should be readily available at any good transmission and bearing shop in your local area. A cursory search on the web indicates that the bearing you are looking for may most likely have been replaced by a 6205 or 6305 bearing.

When I say transmission shop, it is not an auto tranny shop but a shop that specializes in bearings, belts, drive gears etc. Bring the old one in along with the seal and they will surely get you set up with a new bearing and seal to match.

Tell them it is for a washer and to give you a waterproof bearing. That should give you many more years of life.
Hope this helps

Is this bearing on the cylinder side of the tub back, or pulley side? The later parts book shows two different Bendix PNs for either bearing, as well as an updated PN for the seal. Is the MFG PN the same on both bearings for your Bendix?

Either way, it looks like there's a few of the ND77505C25 bearing out on eBay.

Ben

EDIT - looks like I skimmed over David's comments. Great minds think alike :)

Try laundry Pro

I’ve just got new seals for a couple of machines I’m doing up from
laundry Pro in Lakeland Florida
. I managed to get pump seals and also the bearing seals as a complete kit . Another AW friend directed me to them with part numbers . They are for the Dexter machines but fit the Bendix just great
Good luck

Pump Seal

Does a dexter pump seal fit a 1940s bendix?I may be needing some of those for the bendixes I have. For that matter I have a Dexter but it is gravity drain and I was told there is a pump conversion kit and I need to find one of those.
