Well, the wash-in was AWESOME guys! I have a bit of the ''POST WASH-IN BLUES'', however. I am currently stuck in grid-lock on Interstate 10 just west of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Apparently a motor-home collided with a tractor-trailer several miles ahead and the Interstate is shut down. I have been stuck in the same spot for over an hour. I am still about 6 1/2 hours from home. They estimate it will take about 3-4 more hours to get moving again. I guess I shouldn't have had that 42 ounce Diet Coke upon leaving Tucson. :-)

Now it appears that my truck is being swarmed by bees! Although I doubt they are the ''African Killer Bees'', I sure don't see any flowers around! Oh well, I just saw Ponch and John dive by on their motorcycles, so maybe that means taffic will begin moving soon.

All I can say is that it was definitely worth it. The wash-in was amazing!!!!

Tangled Traffic!

Bryan:

Leave it to I-10! Hope you made it home unscathed! I'm suffering from post wash-in blues myself! After being treated like royalty all weekend by our wonderful hosts, I'm back to the household drudgery of cleaning and dusting! However....I am revisiting the memories by doing wash with some of our party favours!! :-)

Hope you get a good night's sleep this evening!

Venus :-)

It was a LONG haul . . .

but I FINALLY made it. What was supposed to be just under a 10-hour drive turned out to be a 12 hour drive due to the 2 extra hours in grid-lock. In addition to that, I lost 2 hours on top of that by heading back east along with the time change.

All-in-all it was a great experience, though. Everyone was very cool, the machines were great and it was a nice diversion from the "craptacularity" I am dealing with at work. LOL. I borrowed that word from Nate.

Thanks again everyone for a GREAT wash-in experience. I enjoyed meeting you all!

P.S. Glenn - I'm sorry you didn't make it. I look forward to seeing you at the next gathering.

We got delayed on the Interstate 10 East TO Roger's place on Friday by a similar accident.

That put us in Phoenix when? 5pm.. UGH add an hour and a half to the commute.

THEN two more hours south (*East* on 10) to Tucson.

Of course, Mapquest forgot to mention one crucial fork in the road. Round and round we go WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Anyhoo, got there eventually. and STILL got the royal treatment!

Thanks to all for a FABULOUS TIME.
