Hi, I'm new to the forum and would very much appreciate help. Our church has a Hobart AM 9T2 dishwasher that is quite old and is not used much. Now we have a need for it and it isn't working correctly. The water pressure in the washer is just enough to have the water come out of the wash arms about an inch. The impellor looks good and seems to be firmly attached to the motor. There are no blockages anywhere, I have taken apart the water tunnels/manifolds and have verified they are clear. The pump area has water in it when we fill the washer. The washer has a 3 phase motor. I am not an electrician so I'm wondering if the motor might be at fault. I tried removing the motor by removing the 6 bolts that hold it to the pump housing but I can't budge that puppy. I don't want to beat on it too hard as I'm afraid I'll break the motor and or housing.

Can someone shed light on whether it may be the motor or not AND how to get the motor out if it may be suspect.

Thanks so much, Dean

I think the problem you are having has to do with either the direction of the pump motor or the pump impeller being worn down.
The motor should be turning counterclockwise when viewed from the fan end. If it is not then the impeller cannot drive the water up properly, thus no water pressure. It would just be churning the water in the impeller housing.
If it is wrong, then reverse any two motor wires in the junction box on the motor and it should alleviate the problem.
The other thing is if the impeller is worn down the result will be low pressure as well. The factory impeller for 60 hz. is no longer available but you can probably fit the 50hz impeller in its place. That is available but it costs $302.23 each.
That will require removing the motor and using a puller to get the old impeller off.
I would check the rotation first.
Check it from the fan end so you don't have to take anything apart as you will likely need gaskets.
I am attaching a parts manual for you use.
Hit me up if you need further assistance.
