Birdcage with two parakeets and a finch. At one time I had many more of each, in two cages.

Here's my kids, Roxie , a rescue cat that I got about 5 years ago, and Oliver, a rescue Pit that I got about a year ago. Funny, a year ago when Ollie arrived, they were terrified of each other, times sure have changed

Our three

The brown one on the left is a 10yo Chocolate brown Lab named Sally. Steve has had here since she was a puppy. She has been through a great deal. Has had both of her back legs broke at different times and is also diabetic. She receives insulin twice a day.
The middle one is a 15yo pit mix named Crickett. I have had her since she was a puppy. She is the sweetest girl.
The right one is a 4yo white lab named Moon. We just got here back in November. Her previous owners were moving into a place where they couldn't have dogs. So we ended up with her. She fits in great with the other two.

I'm not counting or back-counting but looks to be about 50-50 dog to cat owners and then there's Toggles marching to the banter of budgies. LOL

btw not slighting birds here. They are one of my passions, I bred American Singer and Belgian Waaterslagger canaries and budgies (parakeets) for many many years up until we moved here. Having a feather and seed free respit at the moment though

One thing that's great about all these photos is that they show pets as family members.....clean, in the house, up on the beds, on the sofa, etc. like it should be. Drives me crazy when dogs are kept outside or in the garage and aren't really part of the family.

Korky

Rhodesian Ridgeback mix...the other half of him has always been a mystery. He acts 100% Ridgeback: has killed four coyotes and dozens of raccoons, even a bobcat. He thinks our street is his "farm" in Zimbabwe that he must protect against all animal intruders. Yet he leaves chickens and ducks alone, because to him they are harmless farm animals.

He just turned twelve years old and is feeling his age (this photo from 2006 when he was 8 1/2). Last summer his arthritis pain was making him depressed and he lost his appetite. I got him back by using dog-approved arthritis medicine and "doggie casseroles" mixed 50-50 with dry food. He put the weight back on and walks 2.5 miles/4 km twice a day with me, and he seems happy.

Pets MNIM Has:

Fluffie, A very calm rabbit [It can sit on the computer chair and do nothing, he also likes being on my lap.] Have him 8 years this year.
Snuitje, My sisters rabbit, Kinda timed, likes to run a lot. [I dont know how old, but she came when it was 2009]
Y'all ask, How do you combine 1 male and 1 female?, Simple, Segment the cage in to to compartments: One for Fluffie, One for Snuitje.Fluffie can run down to the garage floor, normaly they are outside but it is freezing cold now, so there in my washer garage.

My baby........

Tank, 14 years old on 2/16 of this year. Has liver & nose cancer but is hanging on and having good results with his meds (no chemo/radiation since it is too close to his eyes).

He is being pampered this weekend by a pet sitter while we are away. I was nervous leaving him but she is awesome and sends me e-mail updates daily. :)

Here are my two:

One day the cat crawled into the dog's cage and wouldn't leave so the dog thought the hell with it and got in there with her and they went to sleep. Most dogs would kill the cat but not mine, they are best buds.

One of my favorite pictures of my dog is the one above in my profile. She loves dressing up and going for a ride with the top down. Well to be honest I love the dressing up part she loves the car top up or down!!

You Rhodesian Ridgeback mix looks like he could be part Boxer or part Pit Bull.

Pit Bulls can make wonderful pets. They are NOT for irresponsible pet owners. With proper obedience training while growing up they can make very loving, loyal and obedient pets. After working at our local animal shelter and encountering many Pit Buls, I have changed my mind on the breed. It's all about the owner of the dog.

Keep posting pics guys!

BTW, Thanks Rollermatic, Im experenced washer fixer, Sometimes something gets broken on school, they just come to Mielemann [My nickname on school], And i will fix it.
BTW again, I also repair computers and delete viruses in my free time.

Reina

Reina is a 3 year old Jack Russell/Australian Shepherd mix. Part of an unwanted litter turned over the the local Humane Society. Jason and I got her at 8 weeks. She is every bit as devilish as the gleam in her eye. She is truly wonderful.
