Question about a Frigidare stove

Hi all,

My Frigidare FGF326ASE stove has developed a problem. For the first 10 min or so after turning on the oven there is a rather strong smell of gas coming form the stove. This only happens on the oven not the cooktop and it goes away after 10 min or so.

Any ideas would be great,

How dirty is the oven? Coils? Sometimes when an oven is cleaned with oven cleaner and hasn't been sufficiently rinsed off, the coil will release a smell as it heats up. Check for white residue along the coil.

I didn't even ask if this was an electric or gas stove. If it's a gas stove, you're probably smelling a burner that isn't properly calibrated and I'd get that checked. Also, if you're on Propane, make sure that whoever did the conversion did it correctly. You can get a lot of CO from a badly converted oven burner.
