question for nycwriter

Since maintenance fees for a co-op include property taxes, does each owner receive a pro-rated receipt for the property taxes paid at the end of the year? I would imagine that many owners fall into Alternative Minimum Tax territory, to the point where the property taxes cannot help soften their federal tax burden, but for some retired owners below AMT, it may still be a viable deduction.

The issues with service via L.G.stemmed from an apparent strike involving two different parts manufacturers located in South Korea. When Sears decided to have the Kenmores manufactured by them , the service improved. Lots of owners do not bother reading the use and care guide so,when there's a problem, they cry wolf..I had to get service on my otr microwave and they we're here the following day.

Again ...

Those videos were truly eye-opening.

Did you watch the second video when he actually ran a cycle with the top off to show just how much those tubes rub together?

I know nothing about designing washing machines, but as someone with two eyes and common sense, when I saw that sucker bouncing around and the insane amount of friction rubbing those tubes together, I can't believe ANY designer could have thought that was a good idea. I'm just surprised those tubes don't rub themselves into a complete disintegration sooner.

The second video even shows how LG, rather than redesigning the system so that hoses don't furiously rub together, they truncated the "bellows" part of the one hose to minimize the rubbing. And again, all it takes is 10 seconds on a cycle to observe that the fix was total BS.

AND the fact that when the guy called in for the part, the LG service person admitted that the replacement part is SO popular it's on back order.

HELLO!!!!

If LG can be so sloppy with such an elementary design, what ELSE are they being sloppy with? Because I'm not like the guy in the video ... with his washer in a *house*, in a *basement*, where his flooding was just an annoyance. If my washer floods, it's a disaster that would require thousands of dollars of repair costs to the neighbors' ceiling downstairs (and of course the subsequent discovery that I have an "illegal" washer in my apartment).
