Me and my mother are looking for a used commercial extractor and I was wondering... Where should I look for one? How do you install it? (We have a concrete floor in our basement.) How reliable are they usually?

Commercial "extractors" were not intended for a household setting-The unit has to be BOLTED to the floor-a drainpipe has to be installed for it to drain the water that it pulls from the clothes.You will need to provide electric service for the units 2 hp on up motor-and most likely 3 phase.Bock was the most common maker of these machines.Spin-X is the maker of a smaller (10Lb) capacity unit intended for home use.It can be plugged into a standard 15A 120V outlet.

Yes I know they must be bolted to the floor and we will be able to hook one up. I just need to know where to get one.
The Bock extractor that I have is the smallest size that they made. It does need to be bolted down, but only needs a standard 120 volt outlet. I just drain mine into a bucket as I like to see how much water comes out. I have seen other extractors for sale but they were always larger models that require 230 volts. I would check with companys who sell or service commercial washers, maybe you will get luckey and find one. The Spin-X is neat but very small. Jeff
