question for the Speed Queen experts

wonders never cease, I finally found a belt for my speed queen, I switched out the pump when you look into the old pump it looks like white cement, pully wouldn't turn it, put the new pump in and put the new belt on she runs like a charm have missed using, I was using my Norge built magic chef in the meantime love that machine too. I wish i had a laundry room where I could have more than 1 running. i have been retired 7 months now and people i know who are looking for advice on what washing machine to buy I tell them Speed Queen, the librarian at my local library knew I sold appliances so she had ask me what washer to buy and I told her a speed queen. long story short she did her research and when i was there she said that she bought a speed queen, absolutely loves it.

Need a transmission for my Speed Queen wringer washer

I have been trying to find a transmission for my Speed Queen wringer washer model #USM890. I'm not sure where to look. I have even tried ebay but to no luck yet. Any advice, suggestions, or possible places I may be able to get one would be greatly appreciated. I live in Alaska and this machine is desperately needed by an older woman who does not have a whole lot of money.

Have you tried Lehman's?  Their website lists reviews from people who've bought parts for their old SQ wringers.  The link below shows a new Saudi Arabian wringer, but read below the description and you will see what I'm talking about.  May be worth a call.
