...if it was to break before its time i am seriously considering as an option speed queen huebsch tc5 or tr7 with matching dryer
There's no need to replace both machines if one of them breaks so badly that it's not reasonable to repair. Your clothes and linens truly don't care whether or not the washer and dryer that cleans and dries them are a matching set.

I think

It really depends on the load you’re washing.
Sometimes I use Tide powder (alkaline) and sometimes a liquid detergent
(neutral P.H) with no scent or O.Bs
Your water conditions should be considered as well.
My machine doesn’t have a detergent dispenser and even though your machine dose..it doesn’t mean you have to use it.
I don’t use fabric softener, so don’t know what to say about that with ur machine..other than if you use fabric softener on a regular basis, you’d do well to run a wash load on hot once in a while to keep build up under control..
(Fabric softener is a touchy subject around here)
Others will chime in I’m sure that may have a machine like yours with more specific recommendations.

I'll use Liquid Laundersol with some oxo-clean or similar something in varying amounts for most of my laundry, but for things like my sheets that aren't as dirty, like my sheets, I'll just use the less expensive Tide pods, or Persil if I have some. I swore by vinegar in the FS dispenser for years, and used Laundersol exclusively because it has no scent, but I've started to gravitate to either Downey "Rinse and Refresh" or the 9 Elements brand stuff, both more acidic than plan vinegar, more of a commercial laundry sour type thing, and they strip out all that perfume, so I'm more inclined to use the less expensive perfumy nonsense more freely on less dirty laundry, since the objectionable perfume smell is gone.

Hi Pierre - I think you would probably find either of your choices, the Tide or the Sunlight powder, will both work well. I've used both before and they each seem to do a good job getting the clothes clean. The Sunlight powder is usually lower priced, particularly when on sale, vs the Tide. You could try whichever one you prefer the scent of first and then try the other one after that.
