Vid 3. Mike is laughing in the backeground while Robert says it's leaks when you open the door he said after.. those DM machines... lol.

Yes work has begun on breaking another hidden cycle and bringing roto-rack action into full view. Glass door has been completed and works completely leak-free. Next steps moving the wires so they run down along the edge of the door and moving the detergent dispenser to the side of the machine.

I was over on one workbench working on a vacuum project, and couldn't help but quietly take a few pictures of Robert at work.

I'll be a 12 year old again seeing this dishwasher! They never had a demonstration Roto-Rack set up in our Sears stores, I could only imagine what was going on in our 72 model. I tried the saran wrap over the front but that didn't work out so well...

Its been hot Mikey, but no where near 115 (ouch that would hurt), 95 for a few days, unless of course you mean inside the dishwasher, then its 150!

And here is the detergent dispenser all installed and the wetting-agent dispenser as well. Both work like a charm!
The interior lighting comes next, then I need to cut a new vent at the top and finally the outer door panel needs to be cut and painted.

Totally this machine will be in the kitchen Patrick. Probably go in the slot where the '53 Hotpoint is now.
Wow Robert, you're really coming along on that project. I can't wait to see the final result! I remember being mesmerized by the roto rack "show" at Sears. With this machine across from your Kitchenaid a person could get whiplash watching both in action!
REMOUNTED DETERGENT DISPENSER
Robert you are going to have to tip the DW on its side to fill these LOL. I know that you probably intend to use the little tablets but these often foam too much especially if you use more than one. Although you could take old ice-cube trays and mold your own tablets by using powered detergent and making it damp and then freezing them and storing them in the freezer.

Yes, my design is made for the detergent tablets, the have worked just fine in the KA for two years and them seem to do a good job in this machine as well. I never found a need to use more than one. We've stocked up with about 2 - 3 years worth of phosphated Cascade detergent pacs which really don't foam much at all. That's one great thing about the window is you can really see what is going on in there.
You can even fill the Jet-Dry dispenser easily, although you can't fill it as full as if it was laying down, you still can fill it 2/3rd of the way up before it runs out the fill hole.
