Does anyone know exactly when Hotpoint and Speed Queen stopped making solid tub machines? I remember the event, but not the year.

Perhaps.

I believe SQ was 1980, Hotpoint was circa 1970-1974-ish. I could be mistaken.

I also think 1980 was last ST SQ and I think 1972 was last year for ST HP design.
