Quick update on the Westy CLB-6 and the Ogden Laundry....

I managed to get in a full cycle test (with real laundry) in the Westy CLB-6 Laundromat on the weekend. As far the machine goes, it worked well and the cycle ran through normally.
My 'jury-rigged' plumbing did not do so well however... The temporary drain hose I hooked up to the main drain stack leaked badly and got hubby into a right foul mood... After making a truly amazing cheesecake, he did agree that I can install more robust draining for the washer collection. He almost reversed that decision when I reminded him about the Speed Queen that I hope will join the collection this spring... Oh well...

I now can't wait to get those drains in...  I love the smell of ABS cement in the morning... LOL

Congrats on the Westy runnin'!  Don't you just love the clothes sliding up and over the "scrubbing dome" and slipping  back into the water?

It really is fascinating to watch - I can't help staying glued to the window of a Westy while it's washing!!

Paul congratulations on the success of the machine.  Sorry you ended up with such "grumpy, foul" plumbling problems.  So, how much of a "rope" did that load end up being?  Yes it is very fun to watch everything on that "scrubbing dome".  If hubby ends up bald, I don't suggest you attempting to play like Westinghouse CLB-6 washer with his bald head.  Stick to the true scrubbing dome rather than scrubbing chrome dome!!

Yes, congratulations and the drain hose problem doesn't sound like too bad a fix, it is running and that is what counts. Were the clothes clean to your satisfaction? These are some of the greatest looking machines out there.

I was just watching ...( The Prize Winner of Defiance Ohio ) movie and saw Roberts Westinghouse washer and dryer.

And said thats's our Web Master washer and dryer love saying that to my friends lol.

 

Paul I think that will be the first washer I use if and when I visit.

I love the clicking of the dial and the soft drop and left only a westy can do nicely.

Hopeing everything else falls into place for you.
