Always better to overwire, than underwire!
Just be sure that due to the larger wire size, that it does not chafe itself(oooh, that smarts!) against any of the metal areas of the cabinet and you should be fine.
I have a GE stove and a Westinghouse dryer with the 3 straight prong plug, the newer dryer has a 3 prong plug with one L shaped prong...by putting the range cord on the newer dryer, I don't have to add another outlet.
If the stove is on 30a circuit protection [fuses/circuit breakers]rather than the usual 40a or 50a, just how far can you go? (Meaning how many elements can be used at once?)
Top elemements with broiler?
Top elements with oven?
Just top surface elements 8" (20cm),6" (15cm)?
I have done this a few times out of desperation on a customers delivery. He finds that his landlord has placed a range plug in his washroom. Tightwad I guess. But I do have the buyer call his landlord and tell his what I'm doing and ihave both parties sign a waiver to protect me.
