Any ideas on good exterior vented range hoods.
I know Vent A Hood is good. Is there anything more mainstream that does a good job with high power and low noise? I think I've heard good things about the Broan Allure hoods.
Also I recall Sears had a Kenmore variable speed hood (I believe made by NuTone) that I heard is very good. Not sure if they still sell it.
What about those hood insert units that go under the canopy type hoods? My aunt has a canopy hood stainless steel insert with a Trade Winds blower system and infrared food warming lamps. It's from the 1970s, but she kept it when she remodeled the kitchen about 10 years ago.
I've seen some houses with the round NuTone fans under the hood too.
