It's got to be my favorite retro dishwasher panel and dishwasher series.
Yes, the panel is totally impractical because of all the grooves making it difficult to clean and the wood grain print washes off easily, but I really like the large knobs they used on these. Also the chrome buttons.
As for the appliance in general the colors they came in, the yellow seal, racks, and baskets, and the three level wash arms the upper models had.

I doubt that this dishwasher was unused...the lower rack has rust areas on the tines and has missing vinyl coating here and there. Thats a tell tale sign that the dishwasher was used. Had it not been the condition of those racks would be a tad pristine, these are far from it.
This is the dishwasher that made me pine for a high-end GE Potscrubber like my GSD1200. Our early 70s RotoRacks cleaned far better!! This was abysmal. My next house had a GE-produced Tappan with water heating and cleaned circles around this dishwasher. In fct, that Tappan cleaned far better than the Hotpoint "Potwasher" that came with my 1984-built house I've lived in since Janary 1986.
That lower rack was a sin and a shame as was the upper rack with the large holes that made loading smaller glasses and other items a real agility contest.

They were BU-U-U-TEE-ful though. Some of the upper models had a solid wood butcher block top. Actual cherry or walnut that one needed to keep oiled so they didn't warp.
This one has a wood grained laminate top. I like the fold forward hose and cord hide-away in the back. They also had wood grain applique on them. lol
Sears sold millions of these back then given their prominence. Now many people take dishwashers for granted thanks to merchants like Sears and Pennys selling these under their easy finance plans.

The dishwasher in the catalogue with the almond front panel, was the exact model in my firsthouse. I've seen ver few of these. I think they were mostly for contractor/builder sales. Now, there was a similar model, but the timer dial was very different, that I've see a few of. Portable that was athe orignal post, that built in version was ubiqutous. A solid MOL model.
