After 25 years of searching, I finally found a pistol grip Kenmore hose from 1962!!The first pistol grip hose ever!

This was introduced...
In 1961 for Sears 75th anniversary, it was only made two years, WAY ahead of its time, it not only was a pistol grip hose, but also a direct connect with concealed wires!, now if I can find the L shaped powermate, and the top option Whispertone vacuum, I will have my all time dream machine!!

This Was!
The ONLY electric hose in 61 and most of 62, it was not popular so Sears went back to the more conventional grip, My machine is a Kenmore 75 which would have come originally with this hose when the Powermate was ordered...Kind of "Space Age'!

Good Lord, Hans!
I grew up in what you might call an all-Sears neighborhood, and I remember that pistol grip well - so dainty for Milady's hands.
But I don't think I've seen one in more than forty years.
Pretty incredible find.
